Surat, September 21, 2024 – G.D. Goenka International School Surat hosted a heart-warming Grandparents Day celebration that left an indelible mark on all attendees. The event, held on September 21, brought together students and their beloved grandparents for a day filled with laughter, games, and unforgettable performances.
The school’s Director Principal Mrs. Jayshree Choraria, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of grandparents in shaping the lives of their grandchildren. The event concluded with a photo session and a token of appreciation presented to the grandparents by their children.
The celebration featured a variety of engaging games where all the grandparents teamed up, creating delightful moments of intergenerational bonding. From competitive Quiz, solving puzzles to the Bollywood Tadka the activities showcased the strong connections between the grandparents.
Highlighting the day were spectacular performances by the students, who entertained their grandparents with a diverse range of acts of the theme – Seasons including dance routines, musical performances, and their anchoring/hosting skills. These captivating shows not only displayed the students’ talents but also expressed their deep affection and respect for their grandparents.
The event was a testament to the cherished role grandparents play in the lives of students and served as a reminder of the enduring family bonds that enrich our community. The event concluded with the scrumptious lunch for the grandparents and the children together.
The event was organized by the Pre-Primary team headed by Ms. Ankita Mulia and Ms. Shreya Narang. The Director Principal of the school Mrs. Jayshree Choraria curated the event with her suggestions that left an ever lasting impression in the hearts of the Grandparents.
